Below is information on all the services that the public can access through the Taxpayer Access Point (TAP). Using TAP allows for the public to submit documents and access information without having to schedule an appointment in one of the NM Tax & Rev Offices, emailing, or calling the call center. These electronic services are safe, secure, and fast:
If you would not like to create a TAP logon, you can still access a lot of online services without a logon. Without a logon the public can:
- Make a payment for a business, commercial vehicle carrier, and individual, or for a levy;
- Request an update on your refund for personal income tax by clicking on the link “Where’s My Refund?”;
- Request a manufactured home title clearance request;
- If you are a new business, apply for a New Mexico Business Tax Identification Number (NMBTIN) by clicking on the link “Apply for a New Mexico Business Tax ID”;
- By clicking on “Tax Clearance Request”, you can request information on a business that you are looking to purchase or sell and in cases where a license requires your account to be fully compliant such as a liquor license, cannabis license, and tobacco license.
- If you received a letter requesting that you verify your identity, you can select “Verify My Identity” in the “Personal Income” panel to provide the necessary information to NM Tax & Rev; and
- If you received a letter from NM Tax & Rev requesting additional information in the “Submissions” tile you can select “Submit a Document” and enter your letter ID. If you would like to follow up on a submission you have already made, you can select “Find a Submission”.
If you would like to sign-up for a logon in TAP, you will first need to go to the website linked above and click on “Create a Logon”. You can create a logon for a business, commercial vehicle carrier, or for an individual. A TAP logon allows electronic access to:
